Dr. Yuliya Mykytyn

Supportive, Palmetto FL Therapist

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just not like yourself lately, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it all on your own. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship struggles, grief, identity questions, or the lasting impact of trauma, I’m here to support you in a way that feels genuine, collaborative, and tailored to your unique experience. My goal is to create a space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.

Hi, I’m Dr. Yuliya Mykytyn, a post-doctoral fellow currently working under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Dixon, Psy.D. I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Florida School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University in 2022. Throughout my training, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including private practice and university counseling centers. I’ve provided both individual and group therapy, as well as psychological assessments, supporting people facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity exploration, grief and loss, and stress management. I’m especially passionate about working with survivors of trauma, and I often incorporate self-care and mindfulness into the therapy process. My therapeutic style is warm, flexible, and collaborative. I use an integrative approach grounded in evidence-based practices, including Time-Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy (TLDP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and client-centered, trauma-informed, and interpersonal models.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported—where your experiences and identity are honored without judgment. I’m also bilingual and speak Ukrainian, allowing me to fully support individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. If you’re ready to take that first step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this process.
